has anyone been to Yankton, SD., to Gurney's or has anyone visited anyof the other seed companies in the Midwest?

He plans of fishing and i plan on catching up with yard work and the house, then im going fishing and rockhounding. I live near Great Falls, in a small town called Fort Benton.... Im anxious to get my compost built and in the garden soon, if the weather holds... Carvinmom

I know of no way to stop mosquitos other that , cutting down on feeding the birds in the spring and (some may not like this) putting up Bat houses. I have 2 houses. Bats will eat their weight in mosquitos and really don't bother much else. I even have gotten use to watching them feed at twilight. Anyhow, they help!

Well now the sub-zero temps have stopped and now the floods have come in. Will it ever stop raining?

How 'bout this weather? Do you think the sub-zero temps will
destroy a few japanese beetle grubs? Could we be so lucky....

I forgot about this. I have a way to get the mosquitos off your back ( and front and sides and...) Prior to working outside swallow two match tips/heads. Enough sulpher smell will come out of your pores to ward off the pesky creatures. My camping buddies use match heads while camping and do not use tents-no bites in the morning!

I'm in Indy. Although I can't help you with mosquitos, if any one has need of swimming pool or spa chemical help, I travel the midwest training people in the industry the right way to do things.

We've gotta get a better picture for this group! All that snow does not make me think of gardening :)

hey, guys, I just thought I would come over and visit. On the Mosquito front; I remember when I was a kid... my dad got a army green bee keepers hat to wear when we were camping. I was very allergic to the bite of a mosquito. It was so embarressing to wear it.

There used to be a product called "basic H" by Shaklee that was suppose to be good at keeping the mosquitos at bay.. I don't know if it works or not.
